Grievances Regarding Internal and External Examinations
One of the crucial areas where grievances might arise among students is related to internal and external examinations. The college acknowledges the significance of fair and transparent examination processes in evaluating student performance and ensuring academic integrity. However, despite the best efforts, occasional discrepancies or issues may surface, leading to student dissatisfaction. Hence, the Grievance Redressal Cell (GRC) extends its purview to address grievances about examinations.
Internal Examination Grievances:
Internal assessments and examinations are integral components of the academic evaluation system. Students might encounter issues such as unfair evaluation, discrepancies in grading, or inadequate preparation time. The Grievance Redressal Committee welcomes complaints related to internal assessments and ensures that they are thoroughly investigated. Upon receiving such grievances, the committee works towards rectifying the issues and ensuring fair evaluation practices.
External Examination Grievances:
External examinations, including those conducted by affiliated universities or examination bodies, can also give rise to grievances among students. Common concerns include discrepancies in question papers, unfair invigilation practices, or logistical issues during the examination process. The Grievance Redressal Cell serves as a platform for students to voice such concerns and works in collaboration with relevant authorities to address them promptly. Moreover, the committee endeavours to uphold the standards of external examinations and advocates for the rights of students in maintaining the integrity of the assessment process.
Resolution Process:
Upon receiving grievances related to internal or external examinations, the Grievance Redressal Committee initiates a thorough investigation to ascertain the validity of the complaints. Depending on the nature and severity of the issues raised, the committee liaises with academic authorities, examination boards, or relevant stakeholders to seek resolution. The goal is to ensure that students’ concerns are addressed effectively and that necessary measures are taken to prevent the recurrence of similar grievances in the future.
Transparent and Fair Approach:
The Grievance Redressal Cell operates with transparency and fairness in addressing examination-related grievances. Students are encouraged to come forward with their complaints, assured that their concerns will be handled impartially and without prejudice. The committee strives to maintain open communication channels, keeping students informed about the progress of their grievances and the steps taken towards resolution.
